Powering Fast Food

A fast food restaurant in Hillside, NJ has a new power source that’s pretty darn cool! :) MotionPower is the company that installed the new device and it generates power every time a vehicle drives thru.motionpower_speed_bump

Basically, when a car runs over a plate and pushes it down, it generates power. Multiply that by 100,000 cars per year at 2,000 wats per car and you’re talking some serious juice!
